A little about me...

Born in Oradea, Romania in 1986, violinist Vlad Pescaru showed interest for classical music from an early age and started taking violin lessons when he was 7 years old. In 2009 he graduated from the Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca with a Bachelor in Musical Interpretation and since 2010 he continued his studies in Switzerland. In 2012 he obtained the title of Master of Arts in Music Performance at HEMU in Lausanne and in 2014 he concluded with success his master studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with a degree in Music Pedagogy. Among his permanent violin teachers and in master-class are Christine Sörensen, Igor Karsko, Alexandru Gavrilovici, Karel Boeschoten, Pavel Vernikov and Klaidi Sahatci.

Presently a violin teacher in Menziken AG, he is a member of different orchestras and ensembles like Camerata Musica Luzern, 21st Century Orchestra, Sursee Operetta Orchestra and Ensemble Sargo. His concert activity has taken him to numerous festivals in Switzerland including Lucerne Festival, Cully Clasique, Szenenwechsel Musik festival Luzern, Sion Festival, Fête de la Musique Lausanne and New Music Days Luzern, playing a wide range of repertoire from Baroque music to contemporary and film music.
