A little about me...

Manuela Villiger (*1992) is a Swiss saxophonist living in Olten (CH). After studying saxophone at the Hochschule Luzern with Beat Hofstetter and Sascha Armbruster and at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Lars Mlekusch, she now concentrates mainly on the performance of contemporary music. Among others, she is a member of the Sargo ensemble and of the performance duo “eventuell.” with whom she works extensively on transdisciplinary art forms, collaborates with young composers and writes her own pieces. In 2016 Manuela Villiger was awarded a cultural prize by the canton of Solothurn.
